International cooperation

         International activities of the University are aimed, first of all, on improvement of the quality of land management education taking into account modern requirements to high school and integration into the international educational space, improvement of educational process and scientific research activities on the basis of innovative technologies, export and import development of educational services, the support of the international image of the domestic higher education and the development of new promising areas of international cooperation, taking into account the interests and opportunities of foreign partners.

         The main directions of the international cooperation of the University are the following: cooperation with foreign partners according to the the signed agreements; participation in the international education and research programs and projects; organization and participation in the international scientific conferences, symposiums, seminars, exhibitions; professional development, training, organization of training and practice abroad for students, graduate students, and teachers of the University; international mobility of students for practice and study; training of foreign citizens; establishment of new international contacts.

         Currently we have more than 90 agreements on cooperation with foreign higher educational institutions and different organizations, which represent the countries of all parts and continents of the globe. Annually the University participates in many international education and research programmes and projects.      Over the past few years there were several TEMPUS and other international projects: JEP 271652006 «Retraining system improvement and raising of qualification of specialists in land management and inventories (DELAM)», 159311 - TEMPUS-1-2009-IT-TEMPUS – JPCR «Network of master training on technologies of water resources management», 530690-TEMPUS-1-2012-1-PL-TEMPUS-SMHES «Elaboration of Qualification Framework for Land Management Studies at Russian Universities» (ELFRUS), 574056-EPP-1-2016-PL-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP «Lifelong learning for Sustainable Development» (SUSDEV), Erasmus +, Horizon 2020.

 

        Great attention as for development of the international cooperation was paid to the participation of the University in the project «German-Russian agrarian and political dialogue», which was organized for performance of various actions, aimed, in particular, at improvement of the Russian system of land resources administration in the light of experience of the Federal Republic of Germany. The University takes an active part in the work of several international organizations, such as the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and others. The delegations of the University regularly participate in the events, organized by those international organizations in different countries. The University maintains relations with the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, the Consulate General of Russia in Palermo (Italy) and in Strasbourg (France), with the UNESCO Office in Moscow and with other organizations, as well as with the embassies of many foreign countries.

         About 20% of all foreign citizens studying in Russia in the sphere of land management and geodesy are students of our University.

         There is the summary for foreign applicants. The academic year at SULUP starts in September and ends in July. Bachelor's degree takes 4 academic years; Specialist's degree takes 5 academic years; Master's degree takes 2 academic years; Doctor's degree takes 3 academic years. All faculties provide the full-time study. The applicants are enrolled according to results of the entrance examinations (interview, test). Foreign citizens interested in the curriculum of some particular course can use web-sites of the faculties. All courses are given in Russian; therefore, it is necessary to have the examination certificate as for the Russian Language.

         To conclude the agreement for study at SULUP applicants should pass exams and should submit to the department of international studies of the chosen faculty the following documents: filled in application form; academic documents, equivalent to the academic documents of the Russian Federation with the academic degree, the full list of subjects learned with marks, and its notarized translation into Russian; for Bachelor studies the school-leaving certificate is needed; for Master studies the Bachelor’s or Specialist’s degree-certificate is needed; for Post-graduate studies or for Candidate’s degree the Master’s or Bachelor’s certificate is needed. The academic documents should be legalized. Applicants can get the information concerning the procedure of legalization in the Russian embassy in the country where those academic documents were issued.


         Besides, the following documents should be submitted: transcript (the document showing the list of the subjects with marks) with its notarized translation into Russian; evidence of equivalence of the education certificate which was received outside the Russian Federation; medical certificate confirming that the applicant has no contra-indications for study in the Russian Federation; the AIDS test certificate, confirming that the applicant has no AIDS, valid on the territory of the Russian Federation; passport with visa and migration card; twelve 3x4 cm-size photographs.
